PSOver

Well, training for Americorps is probably one of the least helpful training events I have been to, but it was great to meet people from across the country that are entering similar positions to mine. It was fun to bond over our impending poverty as we all got excited for our terms of service that start this Monday.
Because we have such diverse projects, the training could not really be specific to any one job. It was about understanding poverty and what our roles were in our organizations. Indianapolis was quite the town in which to have training. The people were really fun, and the food was great. I'm glad to have a group of people hat I can talk about Vista with since I am sadly the only Vista at the Red Cross.
I also found out that the person who hired me and that I have been in contact with recently left her job, so that explains the lack of information I've received. I'm excited to be at their new post tornado office at 8 AM on Monday morning!
